you want a tivo?
watch the sales. from a bit on today's boingboing about how other DVR's suck ass:
"Yesterday I was at Best Buy, and I noticed that 40-hour TiVos were on sale for $50 after rebate."

Here's the line I like from that boingboing piece:
"If TiVo were a beverage, it'd be a tall glass of Jamaican ginger beer with chipped ice and a lime wedge, while the Explorer 800 would be a paper cup of warm fake lemonade stirred with the finger of a nose-picking six-year-old."
I actually have a ReplayTV and not a TiVo, and I love love love it.
$50 after rebate, though, is a sweet deal.

I have whatever model of DVR is provided by Time Warner (there's no name on the front of it) and I love it. Although I have to admit, I'm not that familiar with Tivo so I don't have much basis for comparison.
