at last, at last
i now have in my posession the complete seasons one and two of pee-wee's playhouse.

awesome! I loved that show so very very much. I still have my Pee-Wee and Chairry dolls, somewhere. Pee-Wee doesn't talk so well anymore, though.

believe it or not, i have an actual pee-wee's playhouse. a very very cool friend got it as a gift from someone who spotted it at a thrift store. when my friend moved out of town and was trying to get rid of stuff, she decided to give it to me, somewhat reluctantly.
anyway, i have tried to always honor the gift by displaying it (which she had not been able to do), and have even collected a few extra toys off ebay to help furnish it.
i like to decorate it for holidays and stuff, too :)
i never saw the show as it was airing, and the VHS tapes were not complete, so i think there are several episodes i've never seen.
my favorite episode was the one with a slumber party, which featured a song by the residents!

I remember when all those toys and accessories were in the stores. I regretted terribly, not having purchased more of them. I have several of the "action figures" (the hard plastic ones) but I don't know if they go in the playhouse or were too big for it. They're all in a box in my closet. Some of them have gotten a little sticky. Plastic doesn't always age very well.
And decorating the playhouse for holidays is just...beautiful :-) We have a toy Airstream, and I've found that if you buy those tacky necklaces that have wee pretend christmas lights or halloween pumpkins and drape it just so over the top of the trailer, the scale is perfect.
