angel cancelled
i was horrified to learn this morning (via dave who read it on slashdot) that angel will be cancelled after this season ends.
ok, so it's not the greatest work joss has ever done, especially not this season, but it's distressing to find that the buffy franchise is going off the airwaves completely.
here's hoping there's movies or another spinoff in the offing... the long-rumoured "ripper" series wouldn't be a bad place to start...

The latest preview I saw was for the show where Angel turns into a muppet.

and the previous episode was a flashback ep wherein angel gets to say, "Spike! You're a Nazi!"
(though the Prince of Lies character made me bust out laughing)
anyway, shark jumping. yeah, i might be willing to go there, but we'll have to see if the show has truly lost the mission or not when it airs.
personally i think boreanz' talent for comedy is severely underutilized, so to turn him into a muppet might be hysterically funny if handled correctly.

I was really excited about the possibility of a Ripper series. Because I don't just love Giles a little. And then that didn't happen. Remember that "Buffy in High School" animated series that they talked about? Too bad SMG is too good for these things, because if it were funny enough, that would have been swell.
ps - seeing "Dawn" take her shirt off in commercials for some new teen flick is deeply disturbing me.
