yes, i have seen (and helped select) the party food, and let me tell you... yum! not to give too much away, but there's everything from goldfish to little pastry thingies. and lollipops.

Speaking of food:
Last night I dreamed that I was at someone's house for something like a Pampered Chef party. One of the people was demonstrating fried fish and caviar products. Another used a big cheese knife to cut through a metal stock pot, then used the same knife to cleanly cut through slick cooked onions. Damned imprsesive.
Also, I dreamed that I met a dog that had better parroting skills than a real parrot.

I once went grocery shopping with two very good friends. One of them bought a container of Kraft pre-grated "parmesan" -- the stuff in the green can. I told her "If we were housemates, you wouldn't be buying that shit." They seemed to think me hilarious.
I made eggplant caviar to bring tonight. It's got too much salt and too much garlic, so maybe it's perfect. :/
Oh, Lisa, your knife isn't here yet, but I can bring a few anyway to wave around and impress you and Phil. :)
