hmmm...
there's a guy on the personals that i'm considering writing to.
he's a computer geek, but that's not why.
he does list some music that i also like in his music stuff, but that's not why.
it's really just because i think he's cute. i mean, he seems nice and funny and all. we almost have stuff in common. enough that we could have a conversation. but my gut tells me that it's not really enough. (not that people aren't often surprising in that way.)
so.. i don't know. do i just come right out and say, hey, i think you're cute and that's a lot of why i'm writing?
or not write?
or attempt to cobble together some kind of note based on possibly having common interests or whatever?
advice from the field is definitely welcome on this one.

How about both "I think you're cute" and "here's some stuff we both like"? You need both the spark and the substance, after all.

you know what my advice is going to be! ;)
write to him!
just say some compelling things! (this was our advice to each other during CPE's recent pledge drive, and it worked for us then. ;)
it's better to test the waters than to wonder what you might have missed.

ok, so a) your comment won't post right away because i have to approve it first and b) you might get a server error but your comment probably posted anyway and c) previewing doesn't work so i've removed the preview button.
