MIX ME UP!!

ok, i need y'all's help!!

special note! i need to stock up on fun, accessible music mixes for my trip to roswell. my co-pilot dan is not a jaded indie rocker and i can't confront him with my crazy music collection. unfortunately, fun and accessible isn't really my specialty... but i know a bunch of you are quite good at that!!

i've got sarah's "dance party in bed" which i think will be great. sarah, do you have any more like that? georg? christa, maybe a good divaville mix, heavy on the betty hutton? charo? rick, hook me up with donovan and abba and t-rex!! alicia, o queen of pop music? jason, an 80's mix up your sleeve somewhere? anyone else??

any format! well, cd's and mp3's are probably best. or just a playlist that i can try to reproduce from stuff at the station.

How about Charo's "Panty Mix" (I can't remember the exact name) which she brought to Xta's February party? That seemed simultaneously fun and accessible.

aww, i'd have loved to make you a mix cd, but my current comptuer situation doesn't allow for it. i can lend you some mix cds i've made for people if you want, or suggest bands to upload . . .

oh yes, charo's Panty Dancing is a must. i've also got a mix CD she made with all food songs.

and hell yeah i can give you a buttload of betty hutton mp3s. no sweat.

oh yes, i even have panty dancing, in fact i need to rip it and return it to xa. the all food mix sounds good too.

alicia, pre-existing mixes are great! i can rip and load on the ipod.

yay, i knew you guys would hook me up!

do you want a more electronic/dance-type mix or more of a world-type mix? or both?

ok, i have copies of many of my mixes in my car, just say the word and you can borrow them! :)

I have a few CDs that I made for a friend of mine whose taste is open-minded, but not as adventurous as, well, as you for instance :) Those might work.

Do you know how to get music onto an iPod from multuple computers? That would be nifty, then we wouldn't have to fool around with CDs. Unfortunately Apple makes that hard to do, but I think there's some freeware that makes it easier.

heya. sadly, all of my donovan and abba are on vinyl, making for dodgey digital conversion. give me a date, however, and i should be able to assemble an "sleasy listening" mix cd for yo' pleasure.

Actually, I have a mix CD Sean made for me called "80's night at the 5-O, Oh God Make It Stop", that I would be more than happy to loan you for the trip.

So 10 hours of Kornos Quartet is out of the question? I was thinking about CD's of driving music just this very morning, except all of it was for 3am too fast long distance things. Not so good in the daytime.

ok, so a) your comment won't post right away because i have to approve it first and b) you might get a server error but your comment probably posted anyway and c) previewing doesn't work so i've removed the preview button.
