summer cleaning is way more hardcore than spring cleaning

if only because you have to do it in 95 degree heat and eleven thousand percent humidity.

so yesterday i ran home from work and immediately began hauling crap out of the basement. i was ready for long hours of heavy labor, sweat, filth, and exhaustion. rick! showed up after a little while, and then jb came. and then poof! in no time at all, the three of us had knocked it all out. the crawlspace is cleaned out and the big crap is out on the curb.

having gone through what was in the crawlspace, it's abundantly clear that the previous owner of my house simply used it as a trash dump. it wasn't just scrap lumber which she may have had good intentions of saving; there was a big piece of filthy foam rubber, aluminum siding, and various other bits and bobs that i can't imagine having much use for.

so anyway, i got to go to pizza palace after all. which was awesome. after anticipating an evening of total un-fun, i actually wound up having a pretty good time.

and rick and jb are super awesome for helping, too. wow.
