Listening to a podcast of what I suspect is next week's This American Life, I hear the unmistakable strains of music by Ira David Glass' cousin, Philip Glass.

didn't know about that cousinhood.
randy newman's cousin thomas did the soundtrack to "ray has seen wall-e seven times with no end in sight".
but i think you're confusing ira nmn glass with ira david wood iii the renowned raleigh actor.
