people will surprise ya...

my new manager offically rocks. when i told him my schedule for taking the car in tomorrow, he suggested that i work the afternoon at home to reduce my commute time. working from home is like this kind of holy grail amongst members of my team; we all have great setups to work from home, and there are times when we would really prefer to. but our old manager was always very uneasy about the idea. she never would have suggested it, in this situation.

he said he was going to suggest i work from home all day, but i have a healthcare appointment in the morning so i do need to come in then.

and then when i got home, i had a christmas card in the mail from van boy . now, is that good manners or what? how many of you send christmas cards to people you spent one night with?

unfortunately, i can't send a card to him; somehow i doubt that "guy living in van, eastern seaboard, usa" is going to reach him.

E-card! That's what they're for!

well, i sent him email... somehow i think an e-card would be cruel, for someone who's internet connectivity is entirely over a cellphone :)
