no news is good news
he's doing great today. he's scooting around the house, not sleeping much at all, going in the kitchen and eating, using the box like normal, getting up on the furniture.
he's also suddenly totally spoiled. he wants me to bring him food when he sits in his chair in the living room, and then he likes it if i make the food move (one of the things i did to stimulate him to eat when his appetite was low). and the baby food, oh he loves the baby food.

i had this crazy hope that his kidneys might actually be rebounding, but i checked and his urine is still pretty watery, not like normal feline urine.
nevertheless, it's clear that unless he has a sudden crisis of some kind, he's probably going to be with me for weeks, not days as i first thought.
J is gone now. it was so great that he was here this weekend. he really cheered me up and helped me. last night we stayed in and played Clue on the mattress in the living room, drank beer and ate leftover chinese food. mose was in the room with us the whole evening, sleeping. it was great.
we moved the mattress back into the bedroom this afternoon; at least for now, moses is strong enough to get on the bed, and he's not having accidents, so i'd rather have the house be set up normally as long as i can.
