Mr. Crankypants is home!

He's home. His mood improved the minute we put him in the car. I left the windows down and he sniffed things the whole way home.

The tech who had been taking care of him asked me how old he is and was genuinely surprised when i said he is 15. "I would have guessed 8 or 9 by looking at him. He really doesn't look that old." That was certainly a nice thing to hear, given that this whole thing has made me think too much about how he's getting old and it will probably only be a couple of years before he's gone.

But who knows, maybe he'll be one of those crazy wonder kitties who lives to be 20 or something.

Anyway. Yay! My kitty is home!

not that I'm necessarily advocating this, but have you heard about the services that will clone your cat so he can "live forever"? For some reason the radioactiveness of your cat led me to think about this... I wonder if you can clone a radcat and get like, a clone with super spidey powers?

the thought of cloning my cat is pretty horrifying. i mean, obviously i'll be heartbroken when he's gone... but... ew.

anyway, the question of super power cloning is an interesting one. i guess if the super powers were a result of genetic changes, a clone would have the same powers.

when i came home today and the power was off, for a moment i thought, "maybe moses' radioactivity shut the power off!!"

If you could get a large sheet of photographic film, maybe you could induce Moses to lie on it and see if you can get a radcat print -- an autoradiograph, I think.
