Sometimes I'm sorry we don't get trick or treaters here, but this year it's a relief that I don't have to worry about it.

Joe -- ha! hahahahaha! So funny. And yet frustrating -- as I can't actually think of which movie(s) has/ve the variation on that quote -- with the phone call (right?) coming from inside the house. Not to mention, now I'm confused how it could be a phone call for movies done in the age before cell phones.

We had about 150 kids. It was awesome. Except that we ran out of candy 30 minutes too soon and had to hide with the lights out.
I love halloween.

Phil: I believe it's from "When a Stranger Calls" (1979, starring Charles Durning, Carol Kane, Colleen Dewhurst and Ron "Superfly" O'Neal). The actual quote, according to the infallible IMDB:
Sgt. Sacker: Jill, this is Sergeant Sacker. Listen to me. We've traced the call... it's coming from inside the house. Now a squad car's coming over there right now, just get out of that house!
It's possible that the house had two phone lines.
Not sure what other movies besides "Scream" have used the "coming from inside the house" motif.
