cluster s**k
not that the title of this post is really meant to be dirty, but i'm concerned that i might get some seriously gross comments or comment spam if i spell the word out.
so this weekend it became extraordinarily clear to me that there's a direct correlation between my eating utter and complete shite, and my not feeling like doing a damn thing and sitting around, watching tv for hours on end.
when i eat crap-- and by crap i don't just mean carbs, i mean junk like pepperoni pizza, mcdonalds, stuff like that-- i tend to do a lot of it for days at a time, not just say three meals out of fifteen or something like that. so the lack of nutrition kind of "builds up" and i have a sort of personal energy cascade failure. it just sucks the life right outta me.
so i've finally made an important connection in my mind about my eating habits. eating junk steals my time. my precious time of which i have very little! one of my most important resources. every packet of fries steals a little more away. add to that the health that it steals + the money that it steals + the good feelings about myself that it steals and it's a really sucky bargain. no bargain at all. it's very expensive, this eating of cheap junk.

it's weird because I tend to eat lot of junk when I'm super busy, because I don't feel like I have time or energy to deal with making good food. so I can never tell if it's the lack of nutrition making me feel totally wiped out, or the insane activity level.

right, those are the times when i tend to eat badly, too. i have to wonder though if i'd be capable of more, physically, at those times, if i had better nutritional support.
so this makes me re-assess just how much advance preparation of food i need to be doing. i need to be doing enough that when a time like that crops up, i am covered, even if i didn't anticipate that busy period.
