i'm on top of all the new stuff

in the last 24 hours, saw charlie and the chocolate factory and just completed my reading of... you know, that book. it took longer than three hours.

i also ate, slept, showered, perfumed, cooked, tended the feline in various ways, ran errands, finally completed my bit of the creative postcard exchange, worked out dividers for my perfume tins, set foot in starlu for the first time (and left quickly), and drank beer at jo and joe's. completely not in that order.

i suppose tomorrow i had better get serious and stop having fun and stuff. if i don't complete the playlist manager, i'll have a revolt on my hands. and that van isn't going to sand itself... the grass isn't going to mow itself (this time)... herbs won't weed themselves... etc.

oh, what did i think of the movie and the book? gee, i dunno. i'm going to need a few days to digest it all.

What was the problem at Starlu?

well, we went to have a drink after the movie. we walked in and the place was empty except for the bar, which was crowded. there was no where to sit and the people didn't seem very interesting, and we knew the drinks are expensive. plus it seemed so odd for this knot of people to be standing around uncomfortable in one small part of the restaurant when there were hundreds of comfortable chairs close by.

so anyway, i turned to my friend and said, want to go do jo and joe's? which turned out to be a good move. we could sit outside and there were tons of people and it was really cool.

Most late nights at Starlu aren't too busy, but I don't think you should complain about them not keeping the dining room open. They aren't trying to become a late night flop for a drink joint. Stop by sometime when it isn't crowded and try some of Sam's after hours treats. You'll never want the stereotypical grease-pit grunge food of Jo and Joe's again.
