to be filed under...
why did i never think of this before?
fine time today. after breakfast, a tour of the garden, and a little work on the BRSP, mom and i went to the diner for lunch and wandering through cheesy gift shops and antique shopping. awesome onion rings at the diner. consensus is that old metal lawn furniture (which i want for my back porch) is too pricey and too rusty here at the beach and i should look elsewhere for it.
family came over for dinner-- my step-sister lee ann and her husband david (a fellow diesel geek), daughter lainey, and mother in law. lainey, age four, decided i was her new best friend, which is odd because usually children don't really take to me. mom's theory is it's because she's used to everyone fawning over her, which i was not. so she was intrigued and wanted to win me over.
big dinner of frogmore stew and cake and a nice walk on the beach after (cool and almost dark).
then after they left, mojitoes.
