beach
i am not a beach person. a hot, sandy, salty plain crowded with preening people spilling out of their bathing suits is not my idea of a good time.
however, my family owns a beach house, so for a cheap vacation, i can go down there for a weekend in the summer and let them feed me and sit on the breezy screened porch. as i am about to do.
it is likely that i won't actually set foot on the beach all weekend, unless it's cool and rainy.
it's awful to say, but i wish i were going to stay home and sand the van, work in the yard and all that good stuff. but my thumb and now my elbow are both hurting and it's probably just as well that i give them a rest.
