sleep
christa wonders what happens while she's sleeping.
i've always wondered what happens when i sleep, and i've considered videotaping myself, but i'm afraid to. what if i talk? that would be creepy, like some strange other person, not me, surfacing when my guard is down.
when i was a young teenager, i had surgery on my jaw. when i first came to after the surgery, while i was still half out, i went wild. they had to get an orderly to restrain me and they had to put me under again. i wonder if that strange wild person takes over when i sleep.

once i fell asleep while talking to chris rossi on the phone. as he hung up, he accidentally hit "record" on his answering machine. when we talked later (after i'd sobered up) he told me he had a 20-minute message of me, snoring.
maybe we could arrange something similar for you, so you could find out what happens while you're sleeping. ;-)
also, when my mom's ex-husband woke up in the hospital after having a heart-attack, he was so confused about where he was and why he was there that he totally went wild, too. i reckon it has something to do with the effects of anesthesia, and not some evil sleep-possession.
still, it would be nice to compile some sort of anthology of people regaining consciousness, post-anesthesia.
kind of like the time my brother's dentist showed him a video compilation of different people's tongues while they were having dental procedures. they all waggle wildly! i'm now always conscious of my tongue whenever i go get my teeth cleaned.
