i actually saw one of these driving around durham. not sure where/how someone gets one now (canada, maybe?). it is indeed supercool looking.

Oooh finally! I saw Smart cars all over Spain when I was there five years ago and I thought they were awesome. Once I saw one parallel parked, perpendicular to the other cars, and not blocking the street.

stephanie: thanks! (and thanks for giving me the idea!). I chose white with a black tridon cell and red interior. The red was the picture that came up when i completed registration-- i should look for a pic of a white cabrio.
georg: i believe a company called Zap (?) has been importing them for a few years.
