happiness is finishing the annual taxes, then simultaneously eating chocolate ice cream, watching The Prisoner, and placing a decadently large BPAL order.
Miscellaneous limited editions...
- THE PREMATURE BURIAL – Oppressive darkness, expressed through black orchid and patchouli, smothered by wet soil, a coffin’s teakwood, and the funereal gloom of cypress. Since I love Burial, I bet I'll love this, too. That reminds me, I haven't worn Burial in a while...
- MONSTER BAIT: CLOSET – Bourbon blackberry buttercream over red velvet cake. Tasty! I just can't resist the ones that smell like baked goods.
- MONSTER BAIT: UNDERBED – Cassia-caked cocoa coconut over angel food cake. (I'll actually be getting this one from Sarah with whom it disagreed.)
Carnival Noir is passing back through again, as carnivals are wont to do, and I'll be a bit more attentive this time. Last time, all I got was Midway. Mmmmm. Midway.
- FREAK SHOW – fig, pomegranate and cocoa bean with lemon, bergamot, vanilla, mellow honey musk, calamus and tonka.
- KUNSTKAMMER – black pepper, benzoin, blood orange and olibanum.
- SHILL – Gloriously innocent and guileless: pure buttered popcorn! I know it sounds strange, but I've always kind of regretted not getting Shill, especially since I wound up loving Midway, which smells just like funnel cake.
Grapefruit is back! Many of the blends that featured grapefruit were discontinued just as I discovered BPAL, due to a shortage of grapefruit essential oil. However, a reasonably priced supply just became available, so the grapefruity scents are back. I'm just getting imps of these. I particularly love the scent of grapefruit, so I'm pretty hyped about these.
- BAOBHAN SITH – Grapefruit, white tea, apple blossom and ginger.
- CHESHIRE CAT – Grapefruit, red currant, dark musk, Roman chamomile, delphinium, and lavender.
- PHOBOS – Chilling white musk, lemon verbena, white grapefruit and lemongrass.
- SHATTERED – A blend of white champagne notes, grapefruit, lotus, slivered mint and crystalline aquatic blooms.
The Mad Tea party group has recently received some additions... again, I'm just getting imps.
- EAT ME – Three white cakes, vanilla, and red and black currants. Cake again.
- TWEEDLEDEE – Ridiculous! Kumquat, white pepper, white tea and orange blossom.
aaaand imps of two scents that I always meant to try, but never did:
- THE HAMPTONS – The scent of a Cosmopolitan cocktail.
- ONEIROI – One of the scents for sleeping. Somnus went soapy on me, maybe I'll have better luck with this one.

I love Oneroi! Wear it most nights. I've been meaning to try the Hamptons too.
