BPAL: Strawberry Moon

"Strawberry moon is a blending of strawberries and cream with light, dry lotus and soft ylang ylang and a touch of green tea and sage to bring it closer to Earth."

Strawberry Moon was released for the full moon in June, 2005.

Pink Moon was the first BPAL I ever fell for, and one of my favorite components was the hint of fresh strawberry. I discovered recently that the strawberries have evaporated from my bottle of Pink Moon, probably because I didn't keep it capped tightly enough.

Anyhoo. I've got strawberries again. OH YEAH. a very light hand is called for with Strawberry Moon lest one smell like a Sanrio shop looks. However, I found that just one small drop spread around a bit yields a surprisingly warm, soft, of course sweet and faint strawberry scent. It's nice. Probably not worth the ebay price I had to pay for it, but I'm not too sad about the money.

I love strawberries.

The Sanrio comment confirms my first thought: "Strawberry Moon" sounds like a nightmare combination of Strawberry Shortcake and Sailor Moon. (But I can imagine that in a very light application, as you suggest, it might be surprisingly nice, especially in the early summer.)

yeah, the green tea and sage could have been more than a touch-- now that could have been a very interesting fragrance.

this month's moon is "Hungry Ghost Moon" and all the BPAL fans are beside themselves trying to figure out what THAT one will smell like.

As long as it doesn't smell like Boo-berries--that was the first thing that "Hungry Ghost Moon" popped into my head. I need to stop lingering in the crappy cereal aisle of my scent memory, I guess.
