BPAL reviews: Yog-Sothoth, Katharina, Spellbound
lay, lie, something like that...
Yog-Sothoth
"This is the scent of air and darkness."
i'm having a sweet little love affair with this scent. at first, it seems like old spice. lime and spices. and i think, oh, no, not for me...
and then it dries and it smells more odd, more complex. warm, like a second skin, but yummy and good. still some lime.
why do i always fall for the limited editions?
Katharina
"white musk with a trickle of bright, sharp apricot and orange blossom."
it doesn't say 'almond' in there anywhere, but the instant i put this one, it smells overwhelmingly of play-doh.
this one is off to swap with sarah. it's sad, it sounds so nice in the description, and it was a freebie from the woman i bought mi-go brain canister from. jeez, i hope fruit moon doesn't do this on me...
Spellbound
"Perfectly enchanting! An irresistibly sexual, utterly rapturous blend of three roses, radiant amber, and sensual red musk."
dark brown and overwhelmingly powerful in the bottle. i applied one drop and it instantly turned into pure, horrid baby powder. geah.

I thought about buying a bottle of yog-sothoth, but then a review was posted that compared it to commercial perfume so I didn't. maybe that was a mistake.
I've heard people on the forums say that amber goes powdery on them. have you tried anything else with amber in it?

yes, Fenris Wolf has amber listed as a note, and it behaves surprisingly well for me.
The two Voodoo blends i've tried both reacted in the same way as Spellbound, but since notes are not listed for those it's hard to say what causes it.
You're welcome to try my Yog-Sothoth sometime if you're curious. It does need time to develop so don't judge it without wearing it.

ok, so a) your comment won't post right away because i have to approve it first and b) you might get a server error but your comment probably posted anyway and c) previewing doesn't work so i've removed the preview button.
