BPAL: Phantasm, Cathode, Burial, Has No Hanna
I got a little package from Singapore today with lots of good scents! And some little packets of tea and exotic candies. In addition to the reviewed scents, it contained Embalming Fluid, Hurricane, and Sea of Glass. I only wish I had more arms and legs to test them on!
Phantasm
"This delicate, spectral perfume gives rise to an eerie distortion of of the senses. It bestows an ephemeral, ghostly, and truly haunting quality to your presence. Green tea, lemon verbena, jasmine and neroli."
Starts out harsh and lemony with something dark in the background; dries into a warm "second skin" scent. a total winner.
Cathode
"A negatively charged scent. Ambergris, Spanish Moss, oakmoss and three electric mints."
Cool and minty for the first few minutes. Mmmmmm! I love mint.
And then... powder. Nasty baby powder. Oh woe.
Burial
"The Dark Side of Earth: deep, brooding forest scents, including juniper and patchouli. The scent of upturned cemetary loam mingling with floral offerings to the dead."
Wet, it's harsh, like a strong cleaning product.
I only put on a tiny bit, and can barely smell it now, but I think it dried down into a warm an pleasant scent. I'm eager to try more.
Has No Hanna
"Brings a rush of good luck, lifts the spirit, and helps alleviate depression."
I've not had much luck wearing the Voodoo blends; they go all baby powder. But not this one. After drydown, I can only say that this scent is complex and unfamiliar, yet entirely wearable.
I'll let you know about the luck and depression...

So how did the has no hanna work?
And could the fragrance be orange, rose and gardenia? That's the XXXXXX XXXXXX recipe, which is sadly popular (most of his recipes are not terribly authentic, but he was willing to share them and so all kinds of people try to use them.) I'm searching like a madwoman for non-XXXXX has no hanna, hence my interest.
