BPAL - Jack, Moon Rose

"Jack — The scent of warm, glowing jack o'lanterns on a warm autumn night: true Halloween pumpkin, spiced with nutmeg, glowing peach and murky clove."

I got this tonight from Wordnerdy; she didn't like it so much.

It's incredibly potent-- the most potent BPAL scent I think I've yet to try. Although I'd be wary of wearing it as perfume, it's an incredible scent. Like... a warm pumpkin spice cake, fresh out of the oven. The way you'd want your kitchen to smell in the fall. Like if you were a kid, and you walked home from school on a very brisk day, and your mom had been baking something that came out of the oven right before you walked in the door, and she handed you a big soft square of something delicious, and a glass of milk, as soon as you came home.

See, the problem with the "foody" BPAL scents-- like this one-- is: they give me cravings!

"Moon Rose — A crisp, pale, almost translucent rose dusted by moonflower, and midnight dew. "

This fairly pops out of the bottle; as soon as I sniffed it, I thought, "mmmmmmm" and recklessly swiped some on my arm. Oddly, I do love rose scents. A lot of people really don't.

This is yummy and very feminine. It went a small trifle soapy on me, but that is hopefully a temporary body chemistry issue. A few hours later and it's still lingering, but very soft. Definitely a keeper, although I am sure I'll go through many rose scents before I find the perfect one.

I want to sniff Jack, though like you, I can't imagine wearing it.

I can't wait for our sniffing party!
