a good deed? unpunished? oh, we'll see about that!

between the anti-gun-shop lobby and the "i'm going to critique the way you've structured the site" lobby, i'm wondering just what i've gotten myself into here.

you guys might just get to watch me have a nervous breakdown in real time, because my ability to respond rationally to these situations is at an all-time low.

oh, and the personals guy i wrote to hasn't written back. it's been about 48 hours so i consider myself ignored.

i am not feeling so good here in chez lisa tonight.

Lemme guess: you're getting anti-gun hate mail? Lovely.

I'm sorry.

argh! y'know, the anti-gun BS i can almost excuse because even tho it's sanctimonious and STOOPID, it's at least motivated by some moral principle. but the other? people like that just need to be dope slapped. after all, why let the chance to help out and volunteer to do something that (say) hasn't already been done stand in the way of an opportunity for alpha-male chest thumping? cos y'know it's not about the Starlite, after all, it's about him, innit...

well, i don't want to come down too hard on either of these folks. one is a friend, or acquaintance anyway, and the other is someone i need to be able to work with, and i do think he has the starlite's best interest at heart.

but i'm not a big fan of what either of these folks have had to say to me lately. and unfortunately, it's upsetting to me and here i am, way too late, thinking about it all still.

lisa, i cannot believe someone is being so lame to you, especially about the website. know what i'd say? "hey, i'm a volunteer. if you don't like the site design, make your own goshdarned website." only i'd really use more naughty words. you are so awesome and for someone to complain like that is really just plain rude.
