I will report that when I pulled up this entry, Mr. P. immediately identified what kind of Rover that was, in a very amusing way. It was a three-word name. He has become an old British truck geek before my eyes.

As I was saying...
It's Series III 88 inch wheelbase Hardtop Land Rover. The plastic grill is a givaway. They made these Rovers from 1972 to 1985. It's right hand drive and therefore a UK model so that means it has to be at least 25 years old to be imported into the US. The wing side mirrors may indicate that it is an early 70s series truck, but people sometimes swap the mirrors out so it's only a guess.
Note the most important feature is that they have mounting hooks for a tow bar on the front bumper.
You really need a tow vehicle when purchasing a non-restored Series Truck.
