ok, the new wheels get their first big road test in an hour or so, as i will be driving to asheville to see einsturzende neubauten tonight.
(side note: i was quite dismayed to discover last night that mary would have wanted to go! i had no idea that she'd be into EN. oh well.)
so... the guy who pioneered this wheel modification, my friend ollie, tends to lose his hubcaps. i've seen it happen. i halfway expect it to happen to me during this trip. so...
how many hubcaps will spacepod lose during the trip to asheville?

i had one clip come loose and now it is rattling around inside the hubcap (and sounds very industrial). otherwise they performed extremely well.
spacepod now gets openmouthed stares in burger king parking lots in little mountain towns.
