unrelatedly - this popped up on my link-a-day calendar:
"greetings from Krampus!"
Every great hero has his villainous counterpart, and Santa is no exception. Meet Krampus, the devilish anti-santa from Germanic lands who takes care of those on Santa's naughty list. And he doesn't stop with a few coals in their stockings.

When I was employed, I really looked forward to those long holiday breaks, which I'd supplement with vacation days so I'd have, say, 11 days off. Now that I'm unemployed, I'm starting to realize that those week-and-a-half long breaks weren't nearly enough. I haven't worked in 2 1/2 months, and it's very relaxing. It probably would be even more relaxing had I not been in a car accident. :)
