A tip I read at Teresa Neilsen Hayden's blog: Apparently some comment spammers find blogs to target by searching on the phrase "post a comment name email address URL comments" I keep meaning to rephrase that stuff on the comment form of my journal.

isn't the comment form cgi-generated?

oh-- it's only generated in the case of the pop-up window, i think. it does also appear on statically rendered pages.

which means that i now have that exact phrase in my blog, regardless of how i re-work the comment form :)

just delete my comment silly :)

but that would be mean! :)

well then edit out the phrase & replace it with "the default text on MT comment forms." I promise I won't be offended; I'd do it myself if I could.

Post a comment

ok, so a) your comment won't post right away because i have to approve it first and b) you might get a server error but your comment probably posted anyway and c) previewing doesn't work so i've removed the preview button.
