man, i am tahrd

or is it tard? or maybe being tahrd makes me a tard.

i slept pretty well last night, and my bedroom was pretty cozy still when i woke up, thanks to my humidifier. not sure why i am tired, but i sure am.

i've got another company coming this afternoon to work up a quote-- this is the guy who installed Christa's system back in early 2004. yet a third company is coming tomorrow morning at 8:30 (so much for sleeping in).

i've always thought i'd get a humidifier put in with any new system i get, and my mom recommends it so i am asking them to include that in the quote.

there was a humidifier attached to my old system, but it was totally clogged and disgusting and inoperable when i moved in. i guess the previous owner didn't realize you have to clean it. d'oh.

yes, a co-worker said that his father's humidifier tended to clog and gave him problems, so i am checking with mom on how hers has been.

the quote guy from yesterday also gave me the web site of the manufacturer of the humidifier they would install for me, so i can research it for myself.

I feel for you -- my furnace went out in mid-January. I got a humidifier installed with my new furnace, and so far it's great -- it keeps the house at about 42% humidity, which is in the range it's supposed to be. I'm told I should replace a filter in the humidifier once a year at the beginning of the heating season, which is supposed to be ridiculously easy (we'll see). My humidifier is made by Honeywell.
