knitting
last year after the parade, i decided i wanted a matching set of scarf, mittens and hat that would coordinate with the all-silver decorations on the car. i realized that i'm as much a part of the display as the tinsel and the bows-- plus, i'm waving, so everyone sees my hands a lot.
well, i only finished the scarf in time for this year's parade, but today i finally finished one of the mittens. the mittens go quick except for the thumbs, which require knitting in the round with little tiny needles. i hate that part.
Here's the scarf and mitten. The mitten wants a friend!
yes, the mitten has tassels. they're good for waving, and playing with cats.
