fie.
i was all ready to spray the clearcoat on the wheels today and decided to check the humidity at the last minute, since it did feel a little damp. 61%. they say not to spray clearcoat at over 50% humidity or it'll dry cloudy and you have to start over.
i stopped in to my favorite auto parts store while i was out this morning and they say they can test just the alternator, and they can get a new alternator for me in a day-two days. the dude was pretty nice and not condescending as soon as i started talking about alternators. he'd called the woman in line ahead of me-- who was perfectly made up and perfectly dressed, and buying a large array of car cleaning products-- dear.
i'm definitely over-sensitive about that kind of thing right now.
