crazy wind
i did wind up with a weird tree situation in my back yard as a result of the wind, but unlike some folks i'm not that sad to see this tree go. the ice storm killed it several years ago, but of course the owner of the property next to mine doesn't maintain much of anything over there, so it was never taken down. until now.

Oh yeah, your power stayed on, but half of OND's power went out. :) I walked to Rue Cler last night, and it looked like the area from Trinity to within a couple blocks of the loop, between maybe Mangum and not quite Rigsbee, was dead. It was still dead when I came back through a little after 10.

actually, my power was out most of the day as far as i can tell. it cut on again around 7pm, stayed on most of the night, cut off for about ten minutes this morning while i was making breakfast, and was on when i left the house, though i imagine it'll have to go off again to get that tree trunk down.
