BPAL: Hungry Ghost Moon; imp troubles; how nasty can a loonacy be?

"Hungry Ghost Moon: On the 14th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, the Gates of Hell burst open, and ghosts pour forth from the Nine Darknesses into the sunlit world. To placate the dead, Hell Money is burned, offerings are made, and paper boats and floating lanterns are set out to give comfort and direction to wayward spirits. Though many spirits simply seek out the comforts of their former homes and the company of their loved ones, rancorous spirits also roam the streets, seeking revenge on those who have wronged them, before and after their deaths. Offerings of ginger candy, sugar cane, smoky vanilla and rice wine mingle with a ghost’s perfume of white sandalwood, ho wood, ti, white grapefruit, crystalline musk and aloe. This scent is tapered by the presence of seven herbs, woods and resins used in the purification of the spirit and the purging of earthly concerns from the soul."

wet, this starts out fruity, like a cross between froot moon and mi-go brain canister. i was a little worried, because while i like a little fruit in my diet, i don't need any more than i already have.

no worries. the fruit top note fades off almost immediately, and a very light, herbal sandalwood takes hold. it's nice, it's really nice. in fact, those were the exact words of The Boy when i asked him to take a sniff of my wrists.

it fades fast. re-application is a frequent necessity. totally worth it.

the lab is having a serious quality issue with the imp bottle caps. in my last order, one imp i paid for leaked out completely and was empty; one imp i paid for broke after i used it once, and i had to decant it into another bottle, and one frimp broke and i just threw it away. i think i may be quite hesitant to buy imps until they've worked this out. at least all the impable stuff is around indefinitely.

apparently, the lunacy this week is "chrysanthemum moon", which somehow just sounds incredibly repellent to me. it might as well be civet-vetiver-jasmine moon. gaaah.

well, i am sure the lab is accoustomed to replacing imps for people, at this point.

i didn't bother to request a replacement for phobos (the one that leaked and arrived empty) because there was enough oil on the other bottles in the package for me to know that i didn't care too much about having it.
