bill analysis
i think it's time i took a good, hard look at all of my monthly bills, and try to find ways to reduce or eliminate where i can.
what are the clever things you've done to keep your bills at bay?

Click your heels together three times and say, "There's no place like home... there's no place like home"
One good way to avoid bills is to buy stuff with cash. As far as recurring bills, utilities & all that:
- Unplug your TV's when you're not at home. TV's draw lots of power even when they're turned "off". LCD, DLP and plasma TV's don't have this problem. Oh and this includes CRT monitors as well, although Energy Star compliant monitors aren't quite as bad.
- Call your cell phone and land-line phone providers and go over your calling plans with them. Often times, there are ways you can alter things like minutes, calling features, etc. that'll reduce your bill.
- Find credit cards that have lower interest rates.
- Refinance your house to take advantage of lower rates.
